THE CAPT'S TABLE SEAFOOD RESTAURANT AND OYSTER BAR FIRST GOT ITS NAME IN 1967 WHEN PETE HOLMAN AND FAMILY BEGAN THIS LEGACY IN 1967. THE RESTAURANT WAS ORIGINALLY LOCATED IN THE HEART OF PANAMA CITY BEACH, FL. IN AN UNFORTUNATE FIRE THE RESTAURANT BURNT TO THE GROUND.

IN 2001, CAPT MITCH HOLMAN AND THE HOLMAN FAMILY OPENED THE DOORS TO THE "NEW" CAPT'S TABLE. THE RESTAURANT FOUND ITS NEW HOME IN AN OLD FAMILY BUILDING.

EIGHTY-TWO YEARS AGO, RENA DIAMOND WINDHAM WAS GIVEN A WEDDING PRESENT OF $75, WHICH SHE SAVED FOR SEVERAL YEARS. THEN, ONE DAY, SHE WAS TOLD ABOUT SOME PROPERTY FOR SALE IN ST. ANDREWS, FOR JUST THE SAME AMOUNT, $75, SHE PURCHASED THE LOT, NOW KNOWN AS 1110 BECK AVE.

THE HOLMAN FAMILY NOW RUN THE CAPT'S TABLE RESTAURANT IN THE SAME BUILDING. RENA WINDHAM WAS MITCH'S GRANDMOTHER WHO HAD A VISON AND THAT VISON HAS GROWN INTO A LOCAL TREASURE.

CAPT. MITCH HOLMAN CURRENTLY HAS TWO BOATS THAT GO OUT FREQUENTLY TO CATCH THE LOCAL SEAFOOD HE SERVES IN HIS RESTAURANT.
